Why India needs Modi again?

Indian politics these days are in a phase of transition which is full of contradictions and paradoxes. General elections are round the corner and every political party in India have tighten their seat belts. more precisely to be said, political parties have made a grand alliance to overcome the dominance of one person, Narendra Modi.

Chanakya once said: –

“The foremost duty of the ruler is to keep his people happy and contented. The people are his biggest asset as well as their source of peril. If they are unhappy and dissatisfied, they will Revolt against him and overthrow him.”

The same fate the Congress meeting 2014.

The alliance made by several parties in India possesses a sheer amount of ideological differences between them. The grass always looks greener from the other side and most of the general public of India are well aware of the fact that the objectives over which these political parties have shook one another’s hand will neither contribute to the development of the nation nor it is directed towards any national growth.

The alliance is just made to overthrow the current government.

I always wonder that what Modi has done during the past few years that he became a subject of so much hatred among the various political class.

The recent Times of India Mega polls shows that people are happy and about 71.9 percent Indians say that they will vote for Modi again. This is a serious kind of psychological difference between the general public and the political class that we are looking at.

There are some serious reasons that India needs Modi again.

  1. This is a totally different era: – when compared with the 5 year Modi rule versus 49 years Congress rule, the difference is astounding. Be it GDP growth, consumer inflation, Exports growth, Foreign direct investment or Sensex index performance, Modi rule have outclassed the latter’s.
  2. India’s stature at world level have improved: -. A country once known as the land of snake charmers are now considered as one of the fastest growing economy of the world. From the ranking of “ease of doing business” to the “most competitive economy of the world”, India have shown that it has the potential to do well as this can be done only in a robust leadership.
  3. There is a lack of contendership: – The opposition’s biggest setback is that it lacks a prime ministerial face which can contest a one on one with the current prime minister. It is often said that “the rule of a single lion is far more better than the rule of hundred mices” and this current political scenario indicates the same.
  4. For opposition, “the Throne” seems more important than the nation itself: – As mentioned, the grand alliance of various political parties are made just for a single objective to overthrow the current government. The issue of poverty eradication, Employment generation and development finds no mention in the mindset of these political parties. They have forgot their ideological differences to fulfill that one baseless objective and even if they win (which is very unlikely considering the mood of the nation) ,they will not be able to function properly and will be unable to take a robust decision like Narendra Modi for the proper development of the nation.
